Babacan: What Is Required In Combat Terrorism Is Being Done

ANKARA - Turkish Foreign Minister Ali Babacan said Sunday fight against terrorism is a comprehensive and multidimensional one and what is required in this fight is being done and will be done in regard to Turkish Armed Forces` (TSK) hitting targets of terrorist organization PKK/KONGRA-GEL in the north of Iraq.
Babacan left for French capital of Paris to participate in an international donors conference aiming at offering financial and other aid to the Palestinians and replied to questions of the reporters at Esenboga Ariport in Ankara.
"There is a motion that was approved by the Turkish parliament. The government authorized TSK on the matter (for a cross-border operation into north of Iraq). What is required in this issue is being done," he said when replying to a question on the target of the operation conducted by TSK.
There are political, diplomatic, sociocultural and military instruments in fight against terrorism and these instruments were and would be used when necessary, he added.
