HATAY - Hatay Airport (in southern part of Turkey) will be inaugurated on December 9th.
Hatay deputy Governor Ali Muhittin Varol told A.A that the construction of the airport has been underway for nearly seven years, adding that it will be inaugurated on December 9th by Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Varol said that the airport covers 2.7 million square meters, and has a 3,045 meter-long runway. He added that the airport meets international standards.
Varol said that Hatay airport will bring momentum to the city in tourism and economy.
