ASHKHABAD - Turkish oil company Som Petrol has submitted its offer to Turkmenistan authorities to undertake a project to build transportation infrastructure for "Avaza Free Tourism and Trade Zone" that is expected to cost 2.5 billion Euro.
Company president Sitki Ayan and vice president Erdal Aktunc met Turkmenistan President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and told him that Som Petrol is interested in the modernization project of international Turkmenbasi port, on the Caspian coast.
Berdimuhamedov said he was positive about Turkish company's offer.
The project covers the reconstruction of Turkmenbasi port as well as procurement of passenger ships, cargo vessels and oil tankers.
