Turkish Police Confiscate 137 Kg Of Heroin In Van

VAN - Turkish police confiscated on Tuesday 137 kg of heroin in eastern Van province.
Police confiscated 137 kg and 283 grams of heroin, which was hidden in secret parts of a truck, at police check point in Gurpinar town of Van.
One person was detained and an investigation is under way.
The market value of the confiscated heroin is nearly five trillion Turkish Liras.
Van Security Director Tacettin Kurt said that police confiscated 362 kg of heroin within 2004.
