Arcelik Starts Production Of Washing Machines In China

CHANGZHOU - Turkish household appliances company Arcelik, a branch of Koc Holding, began production of washing machines in the Changzhou region of the People's Republic of China (PRC), it was reported.
Koc Holding bought all the stocks of Chinese "Changzhou Casa-Shinco" firm last July for 60 million Chinese Yuan and registered the name of the company as BEKO Electrical Appliances.
Arcelik plans to manufacture 200,000 washing machines in a year. It has been active in the Chinese market since 2000.
Arcelik aims to reach the Asian Pacific and U.S. markets via its factory in the PRC.
