ANKARA - Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) representative Barham Saleh arrived in Turkish capital Ankara on Monday to hold several meetings.
At Ankara's Esenboga Airport, Saleh told reporters that Iraq considered Turkey an important neighboring country.
Saleh said that ensuring stability and prosperity in Iraq was for mutual interests of the two countries.
PUK representative Saleh noted that Iraq wanted to further improve relations with Turkey.
When he was recalled that he would probably be appointed as the foreign minister in the new Iraqi administration to be formed on June 30, Saleh said that it was not true.
Saleh will meet with Turkish Foreign Ministry Undersecretary Ugur Ziyal on Tuesday morning and then depart from Turkey.
