BATMAN - One illegal immigrant died and 52 others were injured while entering Turkey in southeastern Batman province when the truck carrying them overturned on Monday.
The truck, which was carrying 110 illegal immigrants, rolled into a ravine due to high speed in Kahveci district of Kozluk-Batman highway.
A total of 52 illegal immigrants who were injured in the accident were taken to hospitals in Batman, Kozluk and Diyarbakir while one illegal immigrant died. Also, four illegal immigrants were captured.
Security forces started operations in the region to capture 53 illegal immigrants who escaped after the accident.
