NEW YORK - Turkish Finance Minister Kemal Unakitan said on Saturday that the U.S. loan worth of 8.5 billion U.S. dollars was kept as reserve.
Unakitan, who held meetings with investor and finance circles in New York on Thursday and Friday, replied questions of Turkish reporters.
Noting that during his meetings with finance circles he was asked when Turkey would use U.S. loan worth of 8.5 billion dollars, Unakitan said that Turkey kept this loan as a reserve.
Unakitan said that investors evaluated this as a positive situation.
Unakitan will return to Turkey today.
