ANKARA - The parliament will postpone the enforcement date of a bill which will amend the Social and General Health Insurance Law, to July 1st, 2008, sources said on Tuesday.
The draft was planned to go into force on January 1st, 2008.
Debates on the bill to amend the law (widely known as Social Security Law in the public), are unlikely to be completed on time, sources said. The draft is postponed for the third time.
Labor & Social Security Minister Faruk Celik is expected to hold a press conference on Wednesday to announce the decision of the postponement.
The amendments cover new arrangements regarding repayment of health expenditures, pension payments as well as retirement of civil servants and workers.
