PARIS - Robert Walter, British rapporteur of the Interparliamentary European Security & Defense Assembly, said on Tuesday that the EU should fully support Turkey in its fight against terrorism.
The Assembly, in its today`s session, discussed terrorist activities on Turkey-Iraq border.
Walter said that terrorist organization is killing innocent people, adding that PKK terrorism is never be tolerated.
Stressing the importance of Turkey`s role in defense of Europe, Walter repeated that every type of support should be extended to Turkey in fight against terrorism.
Walter`s report asks for EU countries to take required measures against illicit drug trafficking, black money laundering, illegal arms trafficking, acts which aggravate violence and hatred as well as efforts to find new candidates of terrorist.
The report also calls for Iraqi central government and local administration in the north of Iraq to take acts of terrorist organization under control.
