ISTANBUL - World famous jazz music singer Yildiz Ibrahimova will perform in Istanbul on December 13th. She will be accompanied by Bulgaria`s best clarinet player Ivo Papazov.
Ibrahimova started singing and playing piano at preschool ages in Sophia (Bulgaria). She graduated from Bulgarian State Musical Academy with the highest degrees. Her vocal range is about four octaves and she likes to play with her voice simulating various instruments from trumpet to violoncello. Her repertoire is also varied ranging from popular folk melodies to classicals, modern compositions and jazz.
In addition to her academical duties in various conservatories in Turkey, Bulgaria, France and Germany, she performs as a stage artist, plays in movies and participates in concerts all around the world. Her recorded output includes mostly jazz melodies based on folkloric (Bulgarian and Turkish) material.
