ROME - Prominent Turkish playwright Gungor Dilmen`s "I, Anatolia" has been published in Italian, the fourth rendition in a foreign language after English, Germany, and French.
The play, "I, Anatolia," was translated by Iclal Aydin Margariti and published by Italian Editoria & Spettacolo.
"As a woman, I was very excited to translate this piece into Italian and now that play is on the bookshelves, our next goal is to have this work staged in Italian theaters," Margariti told a promotion event on Monday at Rome`s Majestic Hotel.
The play pursues a historical journey through a female perspective, relating to the individual stories of fifteen female characters. These characters, all from Anatolia, have various ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
