ANKARA - Greece supports Turkey's membership to the EU, Turkish Foreign Minister Ali Babacan told reporters on Monday.
He added that Greece also supported Turkey's starting accession talks with the EU, adoption of negotiation framework document as well as opening of chapter headings.
Noting that both Turkey and Greece are closely concerned with Cyprus issue, Babacan said that he thinks this issue will be discussed during his talks in Greece.
When asked whether (Turkey's) possible cross-border operation on the north of Iraq as well as PKK terrorism issue will be discussed, Babacan said that he discussed these issues earlier with Greek FM Theodora Bakoyianni, adding that almost every EU country knows the reason of Turkey's fight against PKK terrorist organization.
