LEFKOSA - Mehmet Ali Talat, the Prime Minister of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), received Secretary-General of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) Abdul Wahed Belqeziz on Friday.
Speaking at the meeting, Talat said Turkish Cypriots were isolated from many organizations of the world, but that they always had a place in the OIC. He said they wanted to have a better status in the next process.
Talat said they aimed at full membership of OIC.
Belqeziz in his part said he was pleased to be on the island, and pointed out that TRNC had an observer status in the OIC. He said if the TRNC targeted to be a full member of the OIC, they would try to do their best in this respect.
Belqeziz said they would expend support to all international efforts of the Turkish Cypriot state.
