BRUSSELS - Turkey-EU Joint Parliamentary Commission Co-chairman Joost Lagendijk said that Democratic Society Party (DTP) should give a hundred percent assurance that it does not approve strategies and attacks of PKK terrorist organization.
Speaking at a conference on EU, Turks and Kurds at European Parliament, Lagendijk said that EU is wiling to give time to Justice & Development (AK) Party government (in Turkey) regarding the reforms, but it will not accept any excuses about amendment of article 301 and adoption of law on foundations.
Lagendijk also said that PKK terrorist organization should immediately lay down arms without asking for any condition, adding that Turkish government should pursue social and economic reforms including basic changes regarding minority rights in new constitution. He noted that DTP should give a hundred percent assurance that it does not approve strategies and attacks of PKK terrorist organization.
