VIENNA - Turkey has prepared a national action plan to eliminate pollutant organic substances, a project which is supported by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), said Turkish Energy & Natural Resources Minister Hilmi Guler on Monday.
Guler, who delivered a speech at UNIDO general conference in Vienna, said that Turkey and UNIDO have a close cooperation.
He said that the International Center for Hydrogen Energy Technologies (ICHET), which was established in Istanbul with UNIDO`s technical support, is the one and only center that provides financial support up to 2 million USD annually for projects on hydrogen.
Reminding that Turkey allocated a budget of 40 million USD for the establishment of ICHET, Guler called on UNIDO-member countries to support this center which contributes to projects on hydrogen energy in Turkey and developing countries in Africa, Central Asia, the Balkans and the Caucasus.
