Beamer Says U.S. Supports Turkey's Efforts To Defend Itself Against P.K.K. Terrorism

WASHINGTON D.C. - U.S. Department of State declared Sunday that USA supported Turkey`s efforts to defend itself against the terrorist organization PKK.
Chase Beamer, a spokesman for the U.S. Department of State, told A.A that Turkey has been waging operations against PKK camps located at the Iraqi side of the border.
Beamer said Turkey`s operations targeted PKK terrorists and the infrastructure of the terrorist organization, not the regional administration in the north of Iraq, civilians or villagers.
He also said USA continued to call on the Iraqi government and the regional administration in the north (of Iraq) to increase their efforts in order to put an end to PKK`s activities.
