ANKARA - Foreign exchange deposit accounts at banks with letter of credit and super foreign exchange accounts fell 686 million U.S. dollars to 67 billion 235 million U.S. dollars between May 7 and 14, 2004.
According to Central Bank's provisional statistics, total foreign exchange deposit accounts at banks was 67 billion 921 million U.S. dollars on May 7.
Foreign exchange deposits dropped 380 million U.S. dollars to 50 billion 766 million U.S. dollars in the same period.
Total internal foreign exchange deposits fell 149 million U.S. dollars to 48 billion 159 million U.S. dollars and external foreign exchange deposits dropped 159 million U.S. dollars to 2 billion 606 million U.S. dollars in the same period.
Meanwhile, total foreign exchange deposits at the interbank market fell 3 million U.S. dollars to 761 million U.S. dollars.
Foreign exchange deposits with letter of credit and super foreign exchange accounts climbed 95 million U.S. dollars from 16 billion 469 million U.S. dollars on May 14 to 16 billion 564 million U.S. dollars as of May 21.
