General Basbug: T.S.K. Pays Careful Attention To Make Constructive Contributions To Turkey's E.U. Process

ISTANBUL - Turkish General Staff Deputy Chief General Ilker Basbug has said, ''the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) pays careful attention to make constructive contributions to Turkey's European Union (EU) process.''
Speaking at a symposium held by the General Staff Department of Military History and Strategic Studies in Istanbul on ''Regions of Crisis from the Perspective of Turkey, NATO and European Union (EU) and Their Impacts on Turkey's Security'', General Basbug said on Thursday, ''our relations with the EU have entered an important period. Turkey's priority is to get a date from the EU for opening of accession talks at the end of the year. TSK pays careful attention to make constructive contributions to Turkey's EU process. In return, TSK expects all institutions to pay the same careful attention.''
