Pentagon Says Turkey Has The Right To Defend Itself

WASHINGTON D.C. - U.S. Department of Defense spokesman Lt. Col. Almarah Belk said that Turkey has the right to defend itself.
Asked about recent news reports regarding Turkish military operations against terrorist organization PKK, Belk said any decision about a military operation against PKK would be made by the Turkish government.
Belk told the A.A that the U.S. administration was in a close cooperation with Turkish and Iraqi governments to find a long-term solution regarding the problem caused by PKK.
