Turkish General Staff Says It Hit Terrorist Group

ANKARA - Turkish General Staff said Saturday that it detected a group of 50-60 terrorists inside Iraqi territory and inflicted significant losses on terrorists.
"In accordance with intelligence activities on December 1st, a group of 50-60 terrorists were detected inside Iraqi territory in southeast of Cukurca town of southeastern province of Hakkari," General Staff said in a statement posted in its internet site.
The statement said military units fired on terrorists and the terrorist group suffered significant losses.
It added that the operations would continue together with other components, if necessary.
