ANKARA - Search and rescue teams recovered 53 of 56 bodies after an Atlasjet plane crashed in Keciborlu town of Mediterranean province of Isparta on Friday.
The plane was en route from Istanbul to Isparta, and it crashed in Keciborlu`s Turbetepe region when it was about to land at Isparta`s Suleyman Demirel Airport. There were seven crew members and 49 passengers aboard the plane.
According to executives of Civil Aviation DG, relief teams recovered around noon the bodies of 53 people who lost their lives in the plane crash.
