ISTANBUL - President of Serbia Boris Tadic said that his country`s vision is membership to the EU, adding that Turkey has the same goal thus, the two countries have a common strategic target.
Tadic attended Turkish-Serbian Business Council meeting in Istanbul on Friday.
Noting that they closely follow developments in Turkish economy, Tadic said that Turkey is a model for Serbia.
Informing the participants about recent political and economic developments in Serbia, Tadic said that Serbia`s vision is membership to the EU.
Tadic said that Turkey`s growth is the most exciting one in the region, adding that Turkey can consider Serbia --with its culture, politics, geography, energy and power-- as a very important partner in economic aspect.
Touching on energy issues, Tadic said that Europe cannot supply its energy without Turkey, adding that Serbia too is on a very important location for energy distribution.
Tadic mentioned Turkey`s investments as well as Efes Pilsen company`s investments in Serbia, and called on businessmen to make more investments in his country.
Tadic also said that they intend to establish cooperation between Belgrade Airport and Bodrum Airport, adding that this will be realized as soon as possible.
