Decision To Re-start Peace Negotiations Between Israel And Palestine Is Pleasing," Gul

ANKARA - Turkish President Abdullah Gul said Friday that "the decision to re-start peace negotiations between Israel and Palestine at the end of the Annapolis conference is pleasing."
According to a press release issued by the Turkish Presidency, Gul welcomed a decision to re-activate peace negotiations between Israel and Palestine after seven years.
"I see it as crucial to begin formal negotiations on December 12th and the planned establishment of the Palestinian State by the end of 2008. I invite all sides to contribute to the peace process. I hope that the Annapolis conference will lead to a fair, comprehensive and permanent peace," Gul told in his statement.
