LEFKOSA - Turgay Avci, the FM of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), said Friday that the Asian countries have begun to see that the Greek Cypriot administration is the side that does not want peace in Cyprus.
The Second Session of the Asian Parliamentarians Assembly Plenary met in Iranian capital of Tehran last week, and the assembly adopted a paragraph regarding Cyprus problem.
In the paragraph, the resolution of political issues of the assembly called on the concerned parties to find a fair, comprehensive and acceptable solution under the auspices of the UN.
Avci qualified the paragraph as fairly balanced and said the Greek Cypriot representatives, who joined the meeting, tried to add a paragraph to a final statement accusing Turkey and TRNC of "occupation" and "preventing efforts for a solution."
"However, their efforts failed," Avci also said.
Avci said TRNC is launching initiatives all around the world to explain the facts in Cyprus
