Major powers to seek sanctions against Iran: diplomat

PARIS - The six main powers dealing with Iran's contested nuclear programme are to start work on a resolution calling for new sanctions against Iran at the UN Security Council, a French diplomatic source said Saturday.
"The six have agreed to examine the elements of a new resolution on sanctions at the UN Security Council" against Tehran, a French diplomatic source in Paris said Saturday.
