ANKARA - Turkish State Minister Murat Basesgioglu met Thursday representatives of the Federation of International Basketball Associations (FIBA) in Turkish capital of Ankara.
FIBA executives are actually visiting Ankara to learn about Turkey`s preparations for the 2010 FIBA World Basketball Championship that will take place between August 23rd and September 5th.
"We have full confidence in Turkey that sports facilities will be completed on time," Lubomir Kotleba, the sports director of FIBA, said during the meeting.
On the other hand, Basesgioglu said Turkey will son start constructing sports facilities in Ankara, Aegean province of Izmir, Mediterranean province of Antalya and Istanbul with the support of local administrators.
