ANKARA - Turkish Central Bank announced Thursday its foreign exchange reserves rose to 72.1 billion USD on November 23rd.
The reserves were 71.3 billion USD on November 16th.
In its weekly bulletin, the Central Bank indicated its total gross reserves (foreign currency plus gold) dropped to 116.5 billion USD on November 16th. Of that, 42.4 billion USD was from privately owned companies, including commercial banks while the Central Bank held the rest.
Meanwhile, Turkey repaid 716.4 million USD in foreign debt between November 1st and 28th. Turkey has repaid 17.6 billion USD in foreign debt since the beginning of the year.
