EDIRNE/CANAKKALE/SANLIURFA - Turkish security forces arrested 141 illegal migrants in northwestern province of Edirne, western province of Canakkale and southeastern province of Sanliurfa on Wednesday.
Gendarmery forces detained 114 illegal migrants from Mauritania, Burma, Somalia, Palestine, Georgia and Iraq in Edirne's Enez, Ipsala and Meric towns.
On the other hand, coast guard took into custody 25 Mauritanians in Canakkale's Ayvacik town when they were attempting to sneak into Greek island of Lesbos.
Security forces caught two Iraqis in Sanliurfa.
The illegal migrants will be deported once legal proceedings are completed.
