ANKARA - Turkey was re-elected to the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Council in category (c).
The 25th assembly of the IMO, which convened in London on November 23rd, elected Turkey as member of its Council for the 2008-2009 biennium, said Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday.
Turkey incessantly holds the IMO Council membership since 1999. 40 out of 167 member countries are represented at the Council, the executive organ of IMO.
