BEIJING - Turkish Industrialists` & Businessmen`s Association (TUSIAD) Chairperson Arzuhan Dogan Yalcindag said that it is important to eliminate the foreign trade deficit which is against Turkey in commerce with China.
Yalcindag, who is currently in this country on the occasion of the inauguration of TUSIAD`s Beijing office, met Chinese Deputy Minister for Trade Chen Jian.
Jian said that they will do their best to eliminate the trade deficit between Turkey and China, adding that the best way of this is to make joint investments.
Jian also proposed TUSIAD to open an office in Shanghai.
On the other hand, Yalcindag attended China-Turkey Business Seminar, and said that Turkish businessmen should better learn China, its consumption habits as well as its bureaucracy and business process. She added that TUSIAD opened an office in Beijing to assist Turkish businessmen about these issues.
Noting that investment milieu in Turkey is getting more liberal each day, and developing in favor of investors, Yalcindag said that Chinese investors will find a more productive investment climate in Turkey.
She said that tourism sector is another important investment area, adding that Turkey is eager to host more Chinese tourists.
Meanwhile, TUSIAD and Chinese Foreign Trade Development Council signed a memorandum of understanding to support mutual investments.
