'Important progess' on joint document with Palestinians: Israel

WASHINGTON - Israel on Monday said that important progress has been made in the drafting of a joint document with the Palestinians outlining a solution to the Middle East conflict ahead of a key US peace conference.
"The negotiation teams have made important progress towards an agreement on a joint document," Israeli foreign ministry spokesman Mark Regev told AFP shortly after the Palestinians announced that the statement is due to be released later on Monday
