VAN/EDIRNE - Turkish gendarmery forces confiscated 34 kilograms of heroin in Gurpinar town of eastern province of Van on Sunday.
Acting on a tip-off, the gendarmery forces stopped a lorry en route from southeastern province of Hakkari to Van, and detained three people with 34 kilograms of heroin.
On the other hand, police seized 33.9 kilograms of heroin in a minibus in northwestern province of Edirne.
The heroin was destined for the Netherlands and police detained the driver of the minibus.
