AMSTERDAM - The Ninth International Energy Forum started in Dutch capital Amsterdam on Saturday.
Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Minister Hilmi Guler, who represented Turkey in the forum, said that those meetings were very important as there was increase in oil prices recently.
Stating that issues which were discussed in the forum were very beneficial for Turkey, Guler said that analyses which were made there for the future of oil prices would help Turkey's attitude on this issue.
Guler said that he also had bilateral meetings with energy ministers of some countries during the forum and noted that those meetings were very beneficial.
Energy ministers of 70 countries are participating in the forum which will last till Monday.
Representatives of many international organizations will also be in attendance at the meeting.
Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Minister Guler, who came to the Netherlands on Saturday is expected to depart from this country on Sunday evening.
Increasing energy need in the world and investments to be made in order to meet this increasing need are taken up in the forum.
