Turkish P.M. Speaks To Iranian President On Phone

ISTANBUL - Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan spoke to Iranian President Mahmud Ahmadi-Nejad on the phone on Thursday.
During the phone talk, Erdogan expressed his concerns over deterioration of political stability in Lebanon.
Erdogan exchanged views with Ahmadi-Nejad on how they can help the parties in Lebanon to overcome the recent crisis.
On the other hand, Ahmadi-Nejad said he will support Erdogan's efforts to help parties in Lebanon reach a compromise on presidential candidates.
Erdogan Wednesday had phone conversations with Lebanese PM Fuad Siniora, Saad Hariri, the opposition leader at the Lebanese parliament.
Earlier on Thursday, Erdogan spoke to Syrian President Bashar al-Asad.
Lebanese PM Fuad Siniora and parliamentary opposition leader Saad Hariri requested PM Erdogan to assist a resolution of deadlock in the presidential election process that jeopardizes political stability of Lebanon.
