Lagendijk Asks D.T.P. To Announce It Does Not Support P.K.K.

ANKARA - Turkey-EU Joint Parliamentary Commission (JPC) Co-chairman Joost Lagendijk met Thursday Democratic Society Party (DTP) Parliamentary Group Chairman Ahmet Turk and asked him to announce that his party does not support terrorist organization PKK's strategy and its activities.
"We expect DTP to announce it," Lagendijk told reporters after the meeting.
In response to Lagendijk's remarks, Turk said they have always said that problems should not be settled through violence and arms.
He said they attach great importance to democracy and noted that problems could be resolved by politics.
