ANKARA - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Wednesday Turkey's gross national product had reached 400 billion USD as of the end of 2006, and it would reach 490 billion USD by the end of 2007.
Speaking at Turkey-Slovenia Business Council meeting in Ankara, Erdogan said the trade volume between Turkey and Slovenia which had been 392 million USD in 2004 climbed to 617 million USD in 2006, however it was not enough.
Turkey and Slovenia had signed agreements on protection of investments, prevention of double taxation, customs cooperation and highway transportation since 2003, Erdogan said and added that thanks to these agreements commerce between the two countries would further develop.
Erdogan said foreign trade volume between Turkey and Slovenia would reach 1 billion USD soon.
