Saudi Oger Not To Bid For Atv-sabah

ISTANBUL - Saudi Oger and Oger Telecom Limited denied Wednesday news reports claiming that they would bid for Turkey's prominent media companies Sabah newspaper and ATV television station.
Releasing a statement, Saudi Oger and Oger Telecom Limited recalled several news reports claiming that these companies would participate in the tender to buy Sabah and ATV together with Ipek-Sancak-RTL consortium.
The statement confirmed that Saudi Oger held talks with several Turkish companies for partnership in Turkish media sector.
It said Saudi Oger sought opportunities regarding these companies but decided not to participate in the tender due to restrictions about foreign partnership in media companies in Turkey.
