Cicek: Party Members And P.K.K. Want D.T.P.'s Closure

YOZGAT - Turkish State Minister & Deputy Prime Minister Cemil Cicek said on Wednesday, "Democratic Society Party (DTP), which has lost public support, is trying to create problems to get re-unified. In fact, it is the party members and terrorist organization PKK which want DTP's closure."
Speaking to reporters in central Anatolian province of Yozgat, Cicek said that legal procedure has already been started to close DTP.
He noted that DTP --which earlier had different names-- was previously closed too; stressing that it was proven that closing a party does not solve the problem.
Cicek said that a single measure is not enough, adding that other measures should be used to overcome this problem.
