President Gul: Results Can Be Achieved In Counter-terrorism With Even Tempered And Realistic Means

TBILISI - Turkish President Abdullah Gul told Turkish journalists in Georgian capital of Tbilisi on Wednesday that results can be achieved in counter-terrorism with even tempered and realistic means.
Gul participated in the groundbreaking ceremony of Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway in Georgia. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili also participated in the ceremony.
"Also it is necessary to display determination in combatting terrorism with military measures. This terrorist organization should be taken out, if necessary with arms," said President Gul.
When asked about a possible military cross-border operation, Gul said, "this issue should be left to military and political experts. The president and the prime minister are also among these experts."
Gul recalled the recent remarks of the Land Forces Commander Gen. Ilker Basbug saying decision makers should be left alone and said Basbug was right.
