COLOGNE - Turkish National Education Minister Huseyin Celik arrived in Germany on Wednesday to participate in education ministers meeting of Middle Eastern, African and G-8 countries.
Besides education ministers of eight G-8 countries, ministers of Middle Eastern and North African countries, Turkey, Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan are attending the Broader Middle East and North Africa (BMENA) Initiative.
Participants will debate basic education, reading-writing, vocational training, and problems in higher education during the two-day meeting.
Celik is also expected to visit the Turkish Democrats Association in Europe and meet representatives of Turkish non-governmental organizations.
Minister Celik will return to Turkey on Thursday.
