ANKARA - Turkish Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul has said, ''it is too early to talk about dispatch of Turkish soldiers to Afghanistan.''
Replying to questions of journalists, Gul said on Friday, ''there have been very close relations between Turkey and Afghanistan due to their joint history. Turkish politicians have always been interested in developments in Afghanistan.''
He added that it was too early to talk about dispatch of Turkish soldiers to Afghanistan.
Earlier in the week, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that the United States had requested Turkey to send soldiers to Afghanistan, adding that the issue had not acquired a certain quality yet.
