ANKARA - Josef Jarab, the chairman of the Committee for Foreign Affairs, Defense and Security of the Senate of the Czech Republic, and the accompanying delegation will pay a visit to Turkey between May 23 and 27, 2004 as the official guest of Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Commission Chairman Mehmet Dulger.
Sources told the A.A correspondent on Friday that Jarab would visit the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the founder of modern and secular Republic of Turkey on May 24.
Jarab and the accompanying delegation will meet with Mehmet Dulger and members of the Turkish Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Commission later.
The delegation will be received by Deputy Parliament Speaker Ismail Alptekin.
The delegation will also hold talks with Turkey-Czech Republic Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group Chairman Hasan Oren.
State Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullatif Sener will receive the delegation the same day.
On May 25, the delegation will meet with Parliamentary National Defense Commission Chairman Cengiz Kaptanoglu.
The delegation will be received by Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul and National Defense Minister Vecdi Gonul.
The delegation will proceed to Istanbul on May 26.
After visiting historical and touristic places in Istanbul, the delegation will depart from Turkey.
