ANKARA - Slovenian Prime Minister Janez Jansa arrived in Ankara on Tuesday as the formal guest of Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Slovenian foreign minister and economy minister, high-level officials as well as businessmen are accompanying Jansa.
Slovenia will take over EU presidency from Portugal on January 1st, 2008.
During Jansa's meetings in Ankara, officials will discuss the opportunities to further develop the relations between Slovenia and Turkey as well as regional and international issues.
Jansa will hold meetings with Erdogan, Turkish President Abdullah Gul and Turkish Parliament Speaker Koksal Toptan. Also, Jansa and Erdogan will address the business council meeting which will be held with participation of Turkish and Slovenian businessmen.
Meanwhile, various cooperation agreements between Turkey and Slovenia will be signed during Jansa's stay in Ankara.
