ANKARA - The 58th meeting of the Turkey -EU Joint Parliamentary Commission (JPC) will start in the Turkish Parliament on Wednesday.
Turkish Parliament Speaker Koksal Toptan will make the key speech of the meeting scheduled for 9:00 a.m.
Sessions of the meeting will go on following a speech to be delivered by Turkish FM & Chief Negotiator for the EU talks Ali Babacan.
Turkey-EU JPC co-chairmen Yasar Yakis and Joost Lagendijk, Portuguese Ambassador Jose Manuel de Carvolha Lameiras on behalf of European Council, Marc Pierini, Head of the Delegation of the European Commission to Turkey, as well as Ria Oomen-Ruijten, the Turkey rapporteur of the European Parliament (EP), will deliver speeches in the first session, "Political Situation in Turkey and the EU".
The third session, "Iraq: Cooperation in Fight Against Terrorism", will take place on November 22nd.
Yakis and Lagendijk will give a news conference at the end of the meeting.
