Turkey Bases Its Perspective On Eurasia On Strong Grounds, Erdogan

ANKARA - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Tuesday Turkey has put its perspective of Eurasia on strong grounds.
"The permanent secretariat of the Turkic States & Communities Peace, Brotherhood & Cooperation Convention will be based in Ankara," Erdogan told MPs of his Justice & Development (AK) Party at a parliament gathering.
On the other hand, Erdogan qualified Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline as an example of cooperation and solidarity between Turkey and Azerbaijan and said presidents of Turkey, Azerbaijan and Georgia will lay the foundation of Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway in Georgia on Wednesday.
"This railway will not only connect the three countries with each other but also be revival of historical Silk Road," Erdogan said.
Erdogan said Turkey is trying to strengthen its position as an energy distributor and transit country in its region.
PM Erdogan said natural gas resources will be shipped to Europe via Turkey and Greece.
"Energy projects are initiatives that will secure peace, prosperity and tranquility in the region," Erdogan also said.
