-KAPIKULE BORDER PASS CLOSED TO TRAFFIC
EDIRNE - Turkey's biggest and world's second biggest border pass, Kapikule, has been closed to traffic after Tunca River overflowed and caused mass flooding near the Bulgarian border pass of Kapitan Andreove.
According to Turkish customs sources, water level at the Kapitan Andreove Border Pass reached one meter and Bulgarian authorities advised Turkey to close northwestern Kapikule Border Pass to traffic.
Turkish vehicles planning to go to Bulgaria are being advised to use the Hamzabeyli Border Pass while those planning to enter Greece are being advised to use the Ipsala Border Pass.
"Due to overflowing, Pazarkule border pass connecting Turkey with Greece was shut down to traffic on Monday. Two border passes in Edirne are presently not usable," said sources.
