Turkish And Greek Universities Sign Cooperation Agreement

ISTANBUL - Turkey's Istanbul University (IU) and Greek Ioannina University signed Monday a cooperation protocol.
IU Rector Prof. Dr. Mesut Parlak and Ioannina University's Rector Prof. Dr. Ioannis P. Gerothanassis put their signatures under the protocol at a ceremony at IU campus.
"We will work to solve global warming and water shortage, the two serious problems the world will face in the future," Parlak said at the ceremony.
Parlak also said the two universities would have close cooperation in forestation and high-quality water resources.
On the other hand, Gerothanassis said the agreement would also boost cooperation in fine arts, medicine, student and lecturer exchange and scientific studies.
