Turkish Foreign Minister Meets With His Senegalese Counterpart

MOSCOW - Turkish Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul met on Thursday with Senegalese Minister of Foreign Affairs Tidiane Gadio in Russian capital Moscow.
Gul is in Moscow to attend the meeting of Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) and the Middle East Quartet formed Russia, the United States, the European Union (EU) and the United Nations (UN) to discuss recent developments in Palestine.
Diplomatic sources said that the meeting between Gul and Gadio was held in a friendly atmosphere.
Gul informed Gadio about the OIC meeting to be held in Istanbul and recent developments in Cyprus issue.
Explaining Turkey's expectations about Cyprus issue, Gul asked for Senegal's support in the meeting.
Gul, who went to Moscow on Wednesday, told A.A correspondent, ''we consider Israel's demolishing houses of civilians in Gaza and killing of more than 30 people in its operation in Gaza an extremely dangerous development.''
Turkish Foreign Minister Gul met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in Moscow earlier in the day. After his meeting, Gul said that there had recently been worrying developments in Palestine.
