FRIENDSHIP BOOSTS
Friendship and cooperation messages of the two neighbors, Turkey and Greece, were in the spotlight at the inauguration ceremony of natural gas pipeline between the two countries which will give start to Turkey's first natural gas export.
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan met Greek PM Costas Karamanlis and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliev at the ceremony held in Ipsala town of northwestern province of Edirne.
"We wish rapid improvement on cooperation process that has begun with energy," he said.
WE WANT SAVARONA BACK
Naval Forces Commander Admiral Metin Atac said they wanted Ataturk's yacht Savarona back to turn it into a museum. The yacht has been rented out to Turkish businessman Kahraman Sadikoglu in 1989 for 49 years.

Turkish, Greek and Azerbaijani leaders met in the border pass and inaugurated Turkey-Greece Natural Gas Pipeline. Turkey which has become an energy bridge between East and West has for the first time started energy export.
NYT: SARKOZY WILL HARM EUROPE
New York Times criticised anti-Turkey policy of French leader Nicolas Sarkozy. In the editorial column of the newspaper, it was stated, "if opinions of Sarkozy becomes influential in the EU, it will harm Europe in long-term."

Historical step to make Turkey the energy bridge of Europe: Turkish-Greek natural gas pipeline was inaugurated. Inauguration of the pipeline which carries Azerbaijani natural gas to Greece via Turkey was made yesterday at Ipsala customs field. Later, U.S. Secretary of Energy attended inauguration ceremony held for the pipeline which will be extended to Italy under Adriatic.
COMMEMORATION TO ETEM LIKE LADY DI
British people decorated the street where Turkish Etem Celebi was murdered (8th Turk killed by gangs in London in the last eight months) with candles and flowers. Mother of Etem said she raised him with love, and wanted the murderers to be found.

A delegation from north of Iraq which held meetings in Ankara and then met Barzani yesterday and stated, "we have understood that Turkey does not want to launch a comprehensive occupation operation. It is possible that Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) can launch a limited operation."
GAS FROM TURKEY TO GREECE
Turkey-Greece part of the pipeline which will carry Azerbaijani natural gas to Italy was inaugurated yesterday. The project has a historical importance as it provides the first natural gas export to Europe via Turkey.

Turkish Chief of General Staff denied news reports claiming that retired military personnel were banned from speaking to media.
It said Armed Forces shows respect and feels faithfulness to those who served for decades.
BAYKAL: NO WAY BACK
Republican People's Party (CHP) Chairman Deniz Baykal said they would prefer terror problem to be settled without any military operation. "You (referring to PM Erdogan) have said so many things. There is no way back. Price of a u-turn will be paid by Turkey's dignity," he said while commenting on a possible cross-border operation.

PIPE SHOW WITH THE NEIGHBOR AT THE BORDER
Turkey-Greece Natural Gas Pipeline was inaugurated at a ceremony attended by Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Greek PM Costas Karamanlis and Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliev. U.S. Secretary of Energy Samuel Bodman was also in attendance at the ceremony.
The pipeline will pump Azerbaijan's natural gas to Italy.

After electricity, Turkey has started its first export in natural gas to EU yesterday. Turkey-Greece Natural Gas Pipeline which will carry Azerbaijani natural gas to the heart of Europe was inaugurated yesterday.
FLOOD IS EVERYWHERE
After Thrace, Aegean region was paralyzed due to torrential rain. Rain became influential for half an hour in Bodrum and Marmaris towns of Aegean province of Mugla, and turned streets into wild rivers. Flood waters dragged automobiles into the sea. Many houses, business places and luxury villas were inundated.

Natural gas pipeline between Turkey and Greece, which was inaugurated on Sunday, has added weight to Turkey's strategic importance. The project makes Turkey the 4th main channel which supplies gas to Europe. The pipeline will also contribute to trade relations between Turkey and Greece.
BORON CONSUMED IN THE WORLD, TURKEY TO BECOME MONOPOLY IN 2012
Turkey is about to become the monopoly in boron, which is one of the most important strategic materials in the world. World reserve is calculated as 3.5 billion tons and 80 percent of that is in Turkey. Turkish state company Eti Maden has become the market leader with a 38 percent share, while its closest rival US Borax dropped to second place with 32 percent of market share. Turkey is expected to increase its boron exports to 2 billion USD in 2012.

Turkey, by carrying natural gas of Shah Sea to Greece, united Asia and Europe. Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan hosted the inauguration of Turkey-Greece Natural Gas Pipeline. Greek Prime Minister Kostas Karamanlis and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev participated in the ceremony as well.
INCIDENTS AT BORDER ARE TURKEY'S DOMESTIC AFFAIRS
Massoud Barzani, leader of local administration in the north of Iraq, said that incidents at border are Turkey's domestic affairs. Barzani underlined good relations with neighbors, common interests as well as the policy of not interfering domestic affairs of neighboring countries.
